REALPOLITIKS: NEW POWER DLC coming soon!

PRAGUE, Czech Republic, February 15, 2018 – 1C is proud to announce that Realpolitiks, a streamlined real-time grand strategy game developed by Jujubee S.A., now boasts new content in the form of a free update as from today. A month from now, on March 15, 2018, the first DLC – Realpolitiks: “New Power” – is set to be released. Both updates will bring fresh content into the game, reflecting current world events, trends in international relations and contemporary political movements.

The free update for Realpolitiks provides additional features and technology projects with a view to unlocking further possibilities within the player’s country. The ”Outsourcing” project tree will allow players to generate more action points, which they will find particularly handy in later stages of the game. Additionally, the “Advanced Arms Import” military project tree has been upgraded and will now offer the possibility to import transport units which should greatly improve player mobility even in the early stages of the game.

Two features have also been added to the free update. From now on, players can change a nation’s name and flag before the start of the game, and later rename their own country, blocs, and countries that they will liberate in order to further customize their territory to their liking. Players can also give away provinces to countries claiming them and thus increase good relations.

Realpolitiks: “New Power” DLC injects fresh content and realism into the world of Realpolitiks. The “Korean Crisis” mini-scenario that features an actual nuclear threat, Non-Governmental Organizations that try to influence politics and new features for creating larger territorial units are highlights of this DLC.

The “Korean Crisis” mini-scenario points to one of the extensively discussed countries – North Korea. The North Korean nuclear threat becomes real in Realpolitiks: players can choose either side of the imminent conflict and have to deal with the explosive situation by either avoiding it, or adding more fuel to the fire. Playable nations include: the USA, China, North Korea and Japan.

An extra challenge is added through the presence of Non-Governmental organizations that exert additional pressure on today’s rulers and governments. Players have the options to work in secret with the mafia, support large corporations with subsidies and increased opportunities for business growth, maintain good relations with separatists and/or bring further harmony to their country through religion and more.

New diplomatic options in international politics include non-aggression pacts enabling peaceful coexistence with other nations, while political annexation offers another option for enlarging one’s territory without the use of military power. But still, everything comes at a price…

The harsh life of a medieval warrior is presented in a new trailer and a batch of fresh screenshots.
We wanted to picture something intimate, personal. Prayers were very popular in medieval times, especially for the nations presented in Ancestors Legacy. Those were warriors who lived to conquer, so whether they were Christians or pagans, they all needed deities to pray to when the battle was upon them. And that’s what we aimed for – not a prayer from an old prayer-book, but rather words that people use when they try to “talk” to their higher powers. When they get personal with whatever it is they believe in.

Deep Sky Derelicts Out Now!

1C is proud to announce that Deep Sky Derelicts, an original combination of turn-based strategy and RPG, enriched with tactical card combat and popular rogue-like elements, will be released in Early Access on SteamTM and GOG.com later today, together with a new trailer and a batch of screenshots from the latest build. Release of the full, finalized game is scheduled for the end of Q1 2018.

After being successfully presented at Gamescom 2017, as well as nominated for a Best Indie Gamescom Award, development of Deep Sky Derelicts has been concentrated on delivering an appropriately polished build for the Early Access version of the game. With a good deal of content to get players engaged within the Deep Sky Sector for hours, the Early Access version will be a great starting point for all those interested in playing a part in the development of this indie title. Apart from being able to watch the game grow and mature into the final polished version, they can also report bugs, submit suggestions for development and get exclusive first-row access to any new, additional content. The most active fans will also have a chance to win cool prizes and even become a part of Deep Sky Derelicts forever!

The universe of Deep Sky Derelicts offers vast possibilities, even with its Early Access build. The Story Mode, though capped at Character Level 3 (out of a current max. of 10), and as yet unfinished, still offers several hours of exciting gameplay with high replay value, thanks to existing content variety and the procedural generation of levels and gear. The Early Access release also includes 6 character classes to build your squad from, 13 core equipment types and 17 extension types, which make for countless variations of actual weapons and tools to equip, over 70 different playable cards those pieces of gear can contain, and 12 missions to spice things up and give you a taste of DSD’s story. And if that’s not enough, there’s always the Arena Mode, which provides a great way for players to test their tactical thinking, various weapons and attacks, as well as their luck during this battle-survival mode.

Fall of Light sees the light of day!

1C is pleased to release Fall of Light today. This story-driven dungeon crawler, developed by independent studio RuneHeads, is set in a world consumed by darkness and combines a solid Souls-like experience, captivating atmosphere, a deep story and original visuals.  Benefiting from full English voice acting and localized into the EFIGS languages, Fall of Light comes to Windows PC and Mac OS via SteamTM and other digital stores.

“Dark Souls meets ICO” (IKnowYourGame)

The release of Fall of Light is accompanied by a new trailer that uncovers some of the farther locations of the game, its fierce enemies and deadly traps. Nyx, our main hero, has dozens of weapons at his disposal throughout the game to beat back the dark adversaries of men, but he would not get far without his daughter Aether. She is literally the light piercing the darkness, Nyx’s source of will and his power to push on further until they reach the place where the Sun still shines.

But although the story of Fall of Light and the journey of Nyx take place in a medieval fantasy world, their true background lies in our world and touches on a very sensitive subject. When playing Fall of Light, the metaphor for the fight against pervasive darkness will be revealed through one of three alternative endings.

Out of the darkness comes Fall of Light!

1C is pleased to announce Fall of Light, a story-driven dungeon crawler set in a world consumed by darkness. Developed by RuneHeads, the game will come to Windows PC and Mac OS in the autumn via Steam and other digital stores. More information, together with a hands-on build, will be available at this year’s Gamescom.

Fall of Light takes the player into a dark world, where an old warrior leads his daughter towards the last remnants of sunlight. Only together will they be strong enough to defeat the enemies born from the Shadow. The lack of light in combination with stylized graphics underline the game’s grim atmosphere, both in the world above and the one below – the birthplace of the evil threatening to end the Era of Men.

The developers acknowledge their sources of inspiration in two other successful titles, Dark Souls and ICO. And as distinct from one another as they are, combining elements from each one has brought about a story quite deep and believable. The eternal battle between light and dark, good and evil, seems that it could finally be decided throughout the storyline of Fall of Light, despite the characters’ efforts to postpone the inevitable end. But a deeper truth is yet to be discovered...

"Ancestors" Announced!

1C is pleased to announce Ancestors, a squad-based real-time strategy with a strong focus on tactics. In close cooperation with developer Destructive Creations, 1C will bring Ancestors to Windows PC and Xbox One. Being equally dedicated to both platforms, the title features native gamepad support with an optimized command system for the quick reactions necessary in the RTS genre. More information, together with release dates and a hands-on build, will be revealed at this year’s Gamescom.

Following the teaser artwork released with the first announcement in March, Ancestors now has an in-engine rendered cinematic trailer, which brings us closer to the battles of the Middle ages, when many conflicts were resolved through violent, bloody war. Men fought bravely, fiercely and viciously at close range. But only a few would emerge victorious, while the motionless corpses of their fallen friends and foes were left buried in the blood-soaked mud beneath their feet.

The new trailer brings us not just the heat of battle, but also gives us a taste of Ancestors’ cinematic action camera, which will allow players to descend from the classic RTS ‘god view’ right down to the level of the warriors under their command. See what they see, feel what they feel, become one of them – before rising back up again to get a good overview of the battlefield, explore the environment and find ways to use it to their advantage. Ancestors, in its extensive campaigns covering 4 different nations, offers many different ways of creating tactical dominance and overall superiority on the battlefield.
About the game
Take command of your army as you storm through medieval Europe in an extensive series of campaigns. Choosing one of the four available nations – Viking, Anglo-Saxon, German, Slav – you will be tasked with more than just conquering, raiding and pillaging enemy camps, villages and towns. Only by utilizing the full range of available tactical options, taking strategic advantage of the environment, and managing your temporary bases and settlements, will you emerge victorious.

Ancestors is a historically accurate real-time strategy game influenced by historical events in the Middle Ages. The game combines resource management and base building with large-scale, squad-based battles across vast battlefields, all rendered in great detail thanks to the Unreal Engine 4 tech. Experience medieval bloodshed like never before, thanks to the cinematic action camera that puts you right in the middle of the battle at the press of a button.

Features

- 4 playable nations in an extensive single player campaign inspired by historical events
- Advanced tactical options combining the use of terrain, experience and morale
- Cinematic battle camera view puts you right in the center of the action
- Outstanding visual fidelity powered by Unreal Engine 4
- Intense multiplayer battles

Content update for REALPOLITIKS!

1C and developer Jujubee S.A. are bringing more content to Realpolitiks! The newly-developed content update will be available from 5th May via online stores, including Steam, to coincide with the release of the retail version in Central Europe. The update is free to all legal owners of the game.

The update adds brand-new tasks and challenges to the game, expanding the list of events originating in Europe. Playing as Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia or Austria, players will enjoy more political fiction and what-if scenarios based on actual political situations and historical facts. Within the 2020 scenario they can track the origin of San Escobar, the new Polish underwater colony in the Caribbean, and the worldwide diplomatic turmoil it creates. In other mini-scenarios, players will have to unite central European countries in order to create the Visegrad superpower and face the reborn Austrian Habsburg monarchy, or play for the Intermarium – a country competing with Russia for hegemony in Central and Eastern Europe.

Apart from new mini-scenarios, two new game features have been added: Culture conversion, and Renouncing territorial claims. The update also fixes known issues and fine-tunes Realpolitiks for a better, more optimized and enjoyable gameplay experience.

Realpolitiks is also coming soon to GOG.com, where it will launch with the new content.

REALPOLITIKS now on Mac App Store and Windows Store!

1C is happy to announce that Realpolitiks has been newly released on both the Mac App Store and the Windows Store. Developed by Jujubee, Realpolitiks was launched in February on Steam and through other digital outlets. The Windows and Mac App Stores bring the title even closer to players on each platform, while certifying compatibility across these systems at the same time.

The Mac App Store version of Realpolitks has been made available in partnership with MacPlay, an experienced Apple publisher. Bringing Realpolitiks to the Windows Store was a very time- and cost-effective process, thanks to our close cooperation with Microsoft and the straightforward user experience of Microsoft’s developer tools.

The Windows platform will also enable future updates and expansions to be seamlessly integrated. 1C is looking forward to bringing more exciting titles from its portfolio to both platforms soon.

The Watchmaker demo is out!

1C is pleased to announce that it’s time to release the public demo of The Watchmaker, a puzzle adventure under development by Micropsia Games. With the demo, players can finally check out the steampunk atmosphere of the clock tower, and see how heavily every second of accelerated aging weighs on our hero Alexander, the clock’s keeper and main character. It’s also a chance to test his abilities to manipulate time, which will help him survive and solve the puzzles on his way to uncovering the mystery of the sabotaged clock tower.

Working hard on finalizing The Watchmaker for its release on Windows PC via Steam in Q3 2017, the developers are also launching a Kickstarter to bring the game to Xbox One and Playstation 4 too. The campaign offers backers several added bonuses, according to their pledge level, up to having their own timeless stylized portrait included in the game! It is accessible through http://kck.st/2oCC0re.

About the game

In The Watchmaker, a puzzle-adventure game, players take on the role of Alexander. In his steampunk world of giant clock mechanisms, Alexander’s routine involves repairing his precious clock tower every day, adjusting its mechanisms, oiling the gears and polishing everything down to the smallest piece. For years, this is the only life he has known.

But one day Alexander is awakened by a mysterious voice. The voice warns him that something has gone wrong: someone, some unknown being, has sabotaged his beautiful tower! With the clock not working properly, time has gone mad. Consequently, Alexander starts ageing abnormally quickly, leaving him only a handful of time to repair the damage.

Guided by the mysterious voice and armed only with a magnetic glove and a bag of time bombs, he must travel the halls and arcades of the tower in search of the saboteur. Various obstacles, enemies and riddles buried in the clock’s intricate mechanisms stand in his way. But Alexander must push on to save the clock and restore time to its natural rhythm, all while gradually uncovering the mysteries of the tower and its even stranger past.

  • Steampunk puzzle-adventure set in 5 extensive locations
  • Diverse gameplay, with a mixture of exploration, puzzles, platforming action and boss fights
  • Environmental puzzles and special gadgets to solve them, such as magnetic gloves and time bombs
  • Unique ageing process that replaces the usual health bar
