Q: When playing the game everything goes back to desktop and a strange message appears that follows:

File not found

A: Your DirectX is not fully updated. To launch the game you have to download the DirectX WebInstaller (dxwebsetup.exe) from Microfoft's website, run the file and let it do the update. To download DirectX WebInstaller go here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en. Chose your language and hit the "Download" button.
Also you need to update your PhysX software: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/physx-9.10.0513-driver-uk.html
Q: I have downloaded and installed a free EVGA version of the game, but I can not patch it to version 1.1.
A: Downloadable versions of Cryostasis (including EVGA version) are already patched
when you download them, so there is no need to install the 1.1 patch.
